PROFESSOR Larry Smolowitz received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 1967, and he taught at Hobart and William Smith from that time until his retirement in June 2004. Professor Smolowitz will continue to teach an occasional course from time to time, including Math 204 (Linear Algebra) in the Fall term of 2005.
