Class Schedule: MWF 12:20-1:15 pm - Stern 203

To download the Improved Euler worksheet discussed Monday, right-click on impeuler.mw and save it to your M: drive. You may edit this worksheet to complete your assignment. Note: you'll also need to copy the euler procedure from the earlier worksheet in order to compare the methods. Come see me if you have trouble.

To download the Simpson's Rule worksheet handed out in class on Wednesday, right-click on simpsonsrule.mw and save it to your M: drive. Feel free to use this worksheet - edited - for problems that require Simpson's rule.

To download the Euler Tutorial worksheet handed out in class on Monday, right-click on eulertutorial.mw and save it to your M: drive. When writing the EulersMethod procedure for your homework, should modify it to reflect the proper dependent and independent variables, or modify your differential equation to reflect x as a function of t (or whatever is required). The first method is preferable unless you are doing several problems using the same procedure. If you do modify your differential equation, state so for any problems submitted. If you decide to define a different procedure for each problem, but include them in the same worksheet, be sure and give the procedures different names (eulermeth1 and eulermeth2 for example).

The examples presented on Friday are in the worksheet examples9-3-2010.mw. Right click on the link and choose "Save as" and put somewhere on your M:\ drive. Then on a campus machine, double click on the file and it should start Maple. If not, start Maple from the menu, choose "Open file", and browse to the location. Cut and paste from this document (then appropriate editting) is probably OK, but if it doesn't work, then just type it in by hand.
