HWS Summer Academy 2006: 3D Cartoon Graphics

Class Schedule: MWF 1:00-3:30pm - Gulick 208
Objectives and Agenda:
- Become oriented to using the Linux operating system.
- Learn to use the 3D modeling and animation program called blender.
- Read and follow basic tutorials to learn how to model various 3 dimensional objects and characters.
- Learn tools to animate objects and characters in a 3 dimensional setting.
- Create and animate a simple, original 3 dimensional scene using blender.
- Show off your creation through a cartoon exhibition on the final day of the academy.
- Have fun while learning all this stuff!
Rules and Guidelines:
- THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS! Asking questions is the quickest way to work through new material. Don't hesitate to ask!
- Help each other out as you learn 3D modeling and animation, and work to create interesting, original scenes.
- The goal of this is to enjoy working on someting exciting while really understanding as much as you can. Spend the time to learn how to use the tools and enjoy creating something unique.
