  1. Notebook Problem Sets may not be discussed with any person besides Prof. King. Outside resources other than our text and your class notes are forbidden. Do NOT consult the internet.
  2. Notebook Problem Sets will typically contain one or two problems and be worth between 20 and 35 points.
  3. For full credit, first drafts of Notebook Problems must be submitted by their original due date (or by the following Monday at 9:00am as part of one of your two free late homeworks).
  4. First drafts will be scored for effort with a plus, check or minus. To earn a plus, you must complete all parts of the Notebook Problem Set and show detailed work explaining your results as well as have the results themselves. It is possible to earn a plus even if your work is incorrect or incomplete.
  5. Carefully read my comments on any draft of your work. Come to office hours with any questions.
  6. You may resubmit your Notebook Problems up to two times within a month of when they are first due, but not after Monday, May 5th.
  7. You must resubmit your Notebook Problems at least once in order to earn more than 50% credit.
  8. If you do not resubmit your Notebook Problems within a month of when they are first due (and by Monday, May 5th if that comes sooner), you will earn 50% credit if your first draft earned a plus, 30% credit if your first draft earned a check, and no credit if your first draft earned a minus or you did not submit a draft.
  9. The score on your first draft will not affect your score on your final submission. However, if you do not turn in your first draft on time, you will lose 10% of the possible points from your score.
  10. Have fun with these questions and really grapple with them! Give yourself time to think about them by starting early!!! Discuss how to express your ideas with Prof. King whenever you have questions. Be proud of your hard work!
