Abstract:
This paper is a very short introduction to the essentials of
LATEX, a document-preparation system that is an alternative
to typical word-processing programs. LATEX is particularly
good at mathematical typesetting, but it has features that
make it nice for almost any kind of writing. Most of the
information in this paper is taken from A Guide to LATEX,
by Helmut Kopka & Patrick W. Daly.
